America once was known as a nation of Pioneers. We’ve had a lot of firsts in our time as a nation, including the first to land on the moon. It once was the American way to be the first, the best, and the brightest. But, what was our most recent great achievement?
We’ve seen plenty of commercials touting the great people this nation has been privileged enough to call citizens. Yet, we keep talking about the [good things of the] past as though that is what defines us.
Where have the pioneers gone? When are we going to stop talking about what our nation has done and begin to do something great on a daily basis?
It starts with design. Our communities, our nation, and our world is constantly posed with problems. We need to get more and more creative with our solutions.
